b. You can play your instrument or sing along to the track below.

Step 1: Learn "Chicago's (Got Everything You Need)." 

> Watch audition videos below to get an idea how simple it can be to audition.

> Choose the instrumental or vocal track to perform with or without it.

The lyrics and audio files are included below. Have fun and relax.

Step 2: Perform it vocally or on your instrument of choice.

 

Step 3: Video record with a cell phone.

Video using the phone horizontally (landscape view).

> Publish it on YouTube.com;

> Label the video: Fernando Jones' Blues Camp 2025.

Notes: For example, if your Blues Kid is auditioning to be a singer, have them sing along with the instrumental audio file. They don't have to riff or use melismas (runs). Have them sing straight and with feeling. We aren't looking for stars. We're looking for those who simply want to be here. 

 

If they are auditioning as an instrumentalist have them play along with the audio file. They don't have to solo. They can just play rhythm, fills and/or chords. Have them do their best. Most importantly, encourage your Blues Kid to have fun! This is a program that focuses on the art of playing by ear. Don't hesitate. Get help from their music teacher if that helps make the recording go smoother.
